Lavoro nero, affari d’oro

Black work, gold market for Vanity Fair

There are thousands African migrants, many of them, without I.D card, that arrive in Italy between November and April for work in seasonal orange harvesting to Rosarno. They live in a bad conditions in shacks on the hills of Rizziconi, territory confiscated to the ‘ndrangheta or in a deserted factories, earning 15 or 30 euro to day. This situation is a humanitarian emergency that happens every year.
